I am passing on something that means freedom to other (quite a few) people. I am saying goodbye to my wedding dress. It is going to find a new life in Haiti.
It sounds weird but I have zero attachment to it. But when I heard about a friend of mine collecting wedding dresses that meant a whole new life for others I was pretty excited.
So thing in Haiti is you can't get married if you don't have the big white dress and a meal for the community you can not get married. And if you are not married you can not take part in the church and are basically disregarded. And since so many can not simply afford any of that they are not allowed to get married. So my friend, along with a group of others, are heading down to bring wedding dresses and help people get married. They are gonna go into a village, outfit ladies in the dresses they are bringing and help feed the guests as well.
To know that my dress is gonna bless many more couples is awesome. When I think about it it really was the same for me, it was just a big white dress that I wore that began a whole new life for me and started the best years of my life.

SO cool!! That is amazing and awesome. The stories those that go down will have to tell later will be very unique I'm sure.
When are they going? I'd like to be praying for them especially when they will be down there.
