Sad Hearts

Never sure how to start posts like this one so I'm just gonna say it. Our dear pet dog Bella, was killed on friday. She ran onto the road and was struck by a truck.  The really really sucky part...it happened in front of the kids. At least the driver stopped and waited till the kids got me. She was killed instantly and did't suffer. 

We had a little burial for her and she is now laid to rest. 

We will miss her wagging tail to greet us. Her endless energy when chasing anything you threw. She was the keeper of our yard. And was Queen of her own domain...the pond. Not a muskrat or duck was ever allowed to be in HER pond. She kept the deer from chewing my trees and kept the coyotes at bay. 

Yup our yard feels empty.
