Trevor has been offered a chance of buying into and managing a New Holland Dealership, in southern Manitoba. It is with an awesome group of guys. This is a job that Trevor has dreamed of. We never thought it would ever be a reality, at least not for a while anyways.
The kicker is we can only accept the job if we can sell our house. Now we have a fair amount of time to sell it. But our house is on the very high end of the market for our area. Here is where my mixed emotions come in. I love adventure, I actually like moving. I like moving into a new house and try to figure things out. How to make things fit in the kitchen, arranging the furniture in a way that suits us and the new house. Manitoba is not a strange place to us, it's where we lived for 13 years of our married life. We have family within about 20 minutes. We have US shopping within 2 hours. The kids are on board too.
But... I love where we are too. My Mom is close by, we have a great school. And well...we just built our house. The easier thing is to stay here. We have a lot of plans for this house and the 15 acres. We love landscaping and this place is a dream for that. We have great friends here too. So in all honesty I am 50-50 about this. If we move... great, if we stay...great.
So if we sell our place the decision is made. So now I just pray that God's will be done. I don't want to force something that is not supposed to be, but I want to do due diligence in trying to sell our place if we are supposed to be heading east.
So projects have revved up which is a win-win. If it helps sell, great. If we don't sell I get to live in a finished house!
So I showed you the backsplash project. Here is what our living room looks like now....curtains done but the fireplace is in progress. And thanks to show-homing with friends the other night we have actually totally redesigned what is gonna happen above the mantel...I am totally stoked about it. We have had the stone for 2 years so we are adjusting with product we already have on hand.

The curtains look awesome!!! And boo to maybe moving but yay for new adventures and opportunities! Let it be as God wills it!! Love you friend!!
Oh my gosh! A lot has happened since last I checked in.
Love the curtains by the way - nice job on them. Good for the momentum of getting the plywood covered and the new mantle area completed - after something sitting for a while it is hard to get going but then once you do it is so awesome to think about it finished.
I'm shocked about the potential move but I can see why you are 50-50. Both places could be called home, family in both, nice house here but potential there. Guess you will just play it by ear. good luck with getting the house ready - i'll stay tuned for updates.
yes, love the curtains!!
