After getting our back splash done we are trying to keep the momentum going. We have 2 more projects on the go now. I'll give you just a sneak peak at what has been done so far and hopefully will post the finished projects soon.
#1 Fireplace stone. Gonna be a multi stage process and we are installing a mantel and another wood inset just above the mantel.
#2 Curtains in our living room
Finding curtains for a 17 ft wall is frustrating and expensive. While wandering around JYSK one day I spotted these black curtain panels and then spied grey suede panels. So I sewed a strip of grey to connect the black ones as they were a bit too short to just sew together. Trevor installed the curtain rods for me as he is a little bit sturdier and handier with tools on top of a 17 ft extension ladder.
I got one panel sewed and then ran out of grey thread. I also learned a few lessons in sewing with suede. Hopefully these will be done in the next few days.
