So I spent some time remembering the past... 18-20 years ago to be exact. To say it was a blast from the past would be an understatement. The whole day was just perfect. From the weather, to the conversation.
So here is the events that led up to my awesome day...
Rhonda and I went to Bible School together at Bethany, from 1991 to 1993. Since we graduated we have not seen each other. About 6 months ago we reconnected on ...where else... Facebook.
To say she has a God given gift of musical talent is another understatement. Singing and playing piano are her gifts. She has lead worship in various places and now has put out a CD. A CD that has songs on it that she has written, some written many many years ago. Her CD is called "A Reminice".
So she decided to go on tour. She messaged me and asked if she could stay at our house while she would be playing at Bethany. You Bet was my response. Which brings us to yesterday.
So during chapel Rhonda was asked to sing and share. It was so great to be back here, to see all the eager faces, the very young looking eager faces.

I decided to join her for lunch. Another great place to be back in, and the food is just as good as it was back when we were there. One person still stands and collects trays and waits till the table is full , some twirling the trays. You sit together and eat together, I love that!
Having lunch in the dining hall with some faculty and students. Oh man have I missed the bread there, my hips... not so much.
Then I took Rhonda on a tour of a place that has physically changed a lot since we were there. The current gym was being built while we were in our last year. I remember sitting in Ben Doerksen's class watching the very first digger unload and start digging.
Rhonda and I bought some snacks from a young entrepreneur Eric...he reminds me a lot of Trevor selling food stuff to pay for our dates.
Then we took our reminice tour to Saskatoon. First stop the train bridge.
And the weather was amazing!! Mid october, no wind and +13 outside, and sunny. These were some of the pictures we took. By the river and around the Bessboro hotel.
Standing on the train bridge... thank you Malcolm and friend for being our photographers
Then we toured around the Bessboro hotel and the parks surrounding it along the river.
A cool piece of art work we saw in the park
I had a fascination with these street lights.

We ended up for supper at Winston's
