Phase 1 complete

All the walls of the house been poured!!! It feels good to have this done. We have some breather time now so we can do some things at our own pace. After the pour was done Trevor said he was not thinking for a week. The stress level has gone down a lot now. I can actually concentrate on some finishing details like picking out paint colors, tile, flooring, and the kitchen.

Other things going on is that our little girl starts Kindergarten this week. She stands and watches the bus come and pick up her brother and waves to the bus driver every morning. This is good because just a few months ago she wouldn't even go NEAR a bus. She has got her back pack out and asks me everyday when we will label her school supplies and put them in her bag.

On another front I am going to be starting up a little home business. I have to work out a few more details yet. But I am pretty excited and nervous at the same time. More details to come soon.

Basement living is going pretty good so far. The kids really like it. I think Trevor is eating a whole lot better. We haven't had to have any mac and cheese yet!

So I went shopping with the kids the other day in search for Halloween Costumes. I had some strange requests this year and I thought maybe once they saw some of the others out there they would change their minds. Well...they didn't change their minds so...the sewing machine must be whipped out. I do admit though, I like the fact that my kids want something different than everyone else will be wearing. As for their requests, well... a Saskatoon Berry for my boy and Octavia the Octopus Queen for my little girl(if you were at the Backyardigans show you know who this is). Just like bringing out the birthday cake at their birthdays, I live for their smiles when they see the finished costumes.

I do apologize for the posts with no pictures but we haven't got Internet hooked up to our computer here in the basement yet.

So from here in our cozy little home I hope you all have a great week!
