And very very crowded. I wandered around myself as Trevor was there for work and had specific things he was going for. I'll admit, I was bored after the first hour. Everything is in German and there are only so many combine parts I can look at. We met up for lunch and then I took off back to our hotel.
This tractor is covered in denim...why you ask? Why not!
So on my way back to the hotel the weather was quite nice and not raining like they had forecasted. So I decided to make use of my train ticket which was good for the whole day. I wanted to go down to the river and find these cool sculptures I had seen online. Here is where I actually had a little adventure. Long story short I took the right train but going in the wrong direction. So I saw parts of Hannover I wasn't expecting.
I did find this cute little fabric store called Lemon Tree. Luckily a very kind woman who spoke english told me how to get back. I wasn't ever really scared and never felt in any danger for being in the "wrong part" of the city, which is a very cool point about Hannover, I feel very safe here no matter where I have been walking.
The River Leine...never did find those cool sculptures.
Now as for what my title says.... We went out for supper with Trevor's work guys to a cool place called the Broyhan Haus. Had the best soup..tomato with meatballs, whipped cream and gin. Trust me it was good, so was the dessert Apple strudel with ice cream and the wine was amazing as well. Such a great meal! Oh yeah the title. We came out of the restaurant and it was lightly misting. We decided to go for a walk outside around our hotel. It was a scene out of a movie. 2 Lovebirds walking down a cobblestone road at night arm in arm admiring the surroundings, with a light mist coming down with only the street lights lighting the way. It was awesome, a moment we haven't had in quite some time. I just wish I had my camera with me. But then again it's a memory just between me and my man. *sigh* yup this holiday has been great so far.

Glad you went exploring on your own. Yes sometimes it turns out how you didn't plan it but you saw some interesting stuff. Did you buy anything at the nice fabric store? I always look for them and rarely find them.
Germany does feel quite safe and I found that so many people spoke pretty decent English.
Have FUN!
