It was beautiful and sunny and we had late check out. So we hit the Metro one more time and did some last site seeing.
The Pantheon
Some of the marble work around the Pantheon
One of the fountains. This one was called "Four Rivers"
Piazza Navona. One of my favourite places. We sat on a bench and just took in the surroundings. There were a lot of artists painting, musicians playing and people having their breakfast, which we learned that Italians only drink coffee for breakfast.
Sacro Largo Argentina
Old temple ruins. Apparently 100's of cats reside here. It's like a where's waldo with cats
Il Vitoriano A monument of the first King of Italy and the tomb of the unknown soldier.
The day we were there must have been a "Remembrance day" of sorts as there was a wreath and 2 guards with machine guns standing guard.
You also could get a great view of the Forum from the second story. You could get a spectacular view from on top of the building, but that was another 7 euros to ride the elevator. We took the great view.
