But the parade did go on. Thursday morning my son says he would like to decorate his bike for the parade. I'm thinking of our timeline. I was busy all thursday morning, friday he had track all day and soccer in the evening and the parade was saturday at 10 am. So that left Thursday evening to create something. Something with whatever we had on hand. So as I scanned the internet and pinterest I thought maybe I would cut out 2 sharks out of cardboard, attempt to paint them and attach them to either side of his bike and done! Then I talked to Trevor's brother Andrew and he said it would be cool if you did a New Holland Tractor( because that is who my husband works for). Challenge accepted!
So I waited for Trevor to get home and after supper the creative process started. Luckily I hadn't recycled the boxes from my mom's move last week. So out of 3 boxes and plastic table cloths left over from a birthday party and some spray glue and spray paint ...you get a T7 New Holland Tractor.
After Trevor cut out the shape I sprayed on the glue and put on 2 layers of plastic table cloth. The painstaking part was the logo on the side( x2 for both sides). Which I printed off and cut out and just put on with clear packing tape. The exhaust pipe is an old gift wrap roll.
I have to admit mobility wasn't the greatest, but we got around the parade route and through some mud too. He also won best bike decoration.
