As I type we are working on fixing our Geo Thermal lines. There was found to be a leak so we had to dig 10-14 down to find the lines and hopefully locate the leak. Well we found the leak and then found another one. So they will run another test after fixing the second leak and hopefully no more will pop up. Our goal is to be done drywalling by the time we leave for Fargo on September 12. So the mudder/tapers can come in while we are gone.
I also went to price out exactly how much paint will cost. Has anyone ever used the Behr paint+primer from Home Depot, the 2 in 1 paint? I was pricing it out and it looks like a good option especially since it will save me time. I'm just not too sure of the quality. Does any other company offer that kind of product?
So we are plugging away, I can actually see a faint light at the end of the tunnel.
As for Trevor, he is doing much better, still has had a little pressure around his eyes, but is feel much better.
Both my kids are in school now, kind of a weird feeling, but our little girl is sooooo excited to be going everyday, I'll see if that still holds up in 3 years.
I am working on some new card and scrapbooking ideas. Look for them on my other blog, Prairie Girl cards sometime soon.
Anyway, life is good. I am feeling very Blessed these days.

Hey Mel,
I've been a lurker on your blog for awhile....have enjoyed watching the progress on your house!
When we built 2 years ago we used the Bejamin Moore paint plus primer paint - it's called Aura. I love it. I only had to do 2 coats - no primer. I think our paint looks great. Even in the bathroom that we painted dark red 2 coats was plenty. It goes on REALLY nicely, you can't see seams, even when you let one section dry before you continue. I bought it at Days paints and I asked for the painters discount since I was buying paint to do a whole house, and they gladly gave it to me. So I got a great deal!
Hope this helps!

I used the Behr stuff for the office and it is a good quality paint, but I think I have heard more positive comments about Aura (Benny Moore), This stuff is streaky if you need to patch a bit here and there. Cheaper than Benjamine Moore but I didn't notice a huge difference in coverage ability from normal quality paint.
I've used the Behr paint and primer in one, but not the Benjamin Moore. I had success with the Behr product, but I wasn't painting on new drywall. Personally, I'd spend more now for a better quality product and it seems that the Ben Moore paint might be of higher quality. Have fun painting!
Hi Mel,
I too, have been a lurker on your blog-
I helped Sheri paint a bit when they painted their house, and liked the way it went on, so we used the BM Aura paint when we repainted our bedroom, and really liked it.
A friend of mine had some trouble with it, but we think it's because it hadn't been mixed properly-it didn't seem to dry properly-so if something seems off-go back to them right away. I didn't have those problems though.
Good Luck!

Hi Mel
We used the Behr 2 in 1 and didn't like it at all. It went on very streaky and didn't cover near as much as normal paint because it is so thick. I have heard that Aura is good so I would check it out but I know we wouldn't recommend the Behr (and we love Behr paint). Happy painting!
Melanie,
I am a huge Benjamin Moore fan. I have used it through out two houses now. I have never used the Aura so can't attest to it but I use the top line of their BM line and it has never failed me and I paint some serious colors. I'd be learly about not priming drywall but guess if they created it for that. Just make sure that you seriously clean it down then. Good luck. Keep plugging away. Bernie
