We only have 3 more rows of block to put up and then we will be ready for the last pour of cement. I'm pretty excited about that part.
I started putting things together for our kitchen today. It is always so hard to take these tiny little samples and hope that when you put it in a big room it all looks good together.
Our little girl had allergy testing today and the results I guess you could say were good. She is not allergic to anything but is Hyper sensitive to everything environmental as well as to strong scents. So for me that means, no scented air fresheners, as little carpet as possible, no upholstery in her room, keep up with the dusting( this will be the hardest..I hate dusting)and no too many real plants in the house. she will be on an inhaler and nasal spray from now on. To me this is good news, because it is an answer and it could be worse. She does not have Asthma, or any other serious sickness, so yes I am thankful that she is a happy, vibrant, and talkative little girl.
Our little girl also starts Kindergarten on Sept 16 . Yikes!
Our little guy is doing good with Grade 1. Learning to read is a big thing for him.The day before Grade 1 started he wasn't to sure about this everyday thing for school. But He got incredibly excited when I told him that I can't wait for the day when He can read a book to me. So now that seems to be his focus.
I was in car accident today in the city. A van pulled into the next lane and didn't see a car which pulled into my lane and sideswiped me and sent me flying into a grass meridian. No one was hurt, but boy was I shaken up. I now am thankful for ABS brakes which allowed me to control where I went in the ditch. As for my Envoy, the passenger side from the front fender to the back wheel is very scrapped up and dented. We can't open up the back door from the outside. I am now thankful for the bigger vehicle I was driving at that time.
We are moving into my parents basement this weekend. Our contact info will all remain the same. Our phone # will be forwarded to my parents house, so it will be like having a party line again. The kids are very excited to be living with Grandma and Grandpa and to start going on the bus come Monday morning.
I am selling Saskatoon Berries and have a few bags left so if anybody wants some , give me a call. They are in my freezer.
I do have something to ask of you guys. We knew building a house would be a stressful event at times, and you never know how it will affect you. Just keep Trevor in your thoughts. Most of the responsibility is on him and with that comes the stress.
