Our Trip to Edmonton and Red Deer

Yes we did leave home to another destination, yes we did stay in a hotel and have maid service and yes we did eat out . But toting 2 kids age 3 and 4in a Huge Mall all day, who missed most naps and ate McDonalds 5 times in 5 days,once including Breakfast is not my idea of a vacation. Don't get me wrong , the kids do well shopping, but not all day , days in a row. Being in Christmas shopping mode, I was looking for more things for under age 8, and West Ed Mall was quite disappointing in the area. At least there was things to look at through out the mall to intrigue them, they did like the Sea Lions and the Flamingos, and the Huge whale to crawl in. They can honestly say they have been in the belly of a whale!

The rest of our trip was spent in Red Deer where the Agri Trends Farm Show was going on. Trevor was workingthe New Holland Booth . After wondering around for most of the day and gathering all the freebies that booths were giving away, we settled into hotel number 2. By the way New Holland gave away the best freebies being a Toy New Holland Tractor. I did hit a jackpot of a store though looking for my Christmas gifts that I was looking for. So after some long days of wondering the city of Red Deer and going back to Applebees for a Lightening McQueen cap that was left the evening before, we finally headed home. It was good to be home and get back in a routine. I am heading to Redberry for a weekend of cardmaking and visiting, now that is what I call a vacation.
