A Family Again

He is finally home!! After 17 days Trevor is finally home. He was to get home on Friday Aug 24 at 6:30pm but when he got to Los Angeles after 3.5 hours in customs he found out his plane had been cancelled. How do you just cancel a flight while people connecting are in the air? So he went to the counter and the lady there was no help, Trevor gave her all the scenarios to get him home but nothing seemed to work. The best he could get was to Calgary and then overnight it there(with Air Canada paying) and out to Saskatoon in the morning. When he got into Calgary he went to the counter where a flight to Saskatoon was getting ready to board that was supposedly full, well he got on standby and got home at midnight. I called my mom to look after the kids while I went to get Trevor, I had the air conditioning going and the music turned up real loud(something you can't do with kids in the van). We finally got home at 1:30am and straight to bed we all went. The next morning you should have seen the looks on the kids faces when they came into our room and Trevor was there. They thought we were going to the airport that morning to pick him up. It was a look of complete shock. So after he unloaded all the gifts he brought for everyone(including a Coke can from Thailand), they hung onto him all day. So now the next trip is in 1 month to Russia but not for 2 full weeks again. I think I did pretty good keeping the kids occupied and keeping my days full. We'll see what I can come up with during the next trip.
