Could it be the first day of summer tomorrow....
Could it be the end of soccer already....
Could it be that my little girl is in a sling for 2 weeks...
Could it be that my craft room is getting a makeover....
Could it be 4 years already...
And I say YES to all the above.
End of school. My kids are so excited, so am I! I love having my kids at home. No deadlines for being home before the bus gets there. No waiting to go somewhere till there is a school break. No more packing lunches!!!!
Summer tomorrow. On the calendar it says it is happening but Mother nature seems to need a little encouragement. Oy! The rain! The up side is I am getting a few things done inside before it gets nice and I don't wanna be indoors.
Our last soccer game was last night. It stopped raining and was sunny and warm for the last game. And we won! So it was a great ending. And our #20 almost scored.
It finally happened, I knew it would eventually. It's the nature of sports. And when you are dealing with another creature the unexpected occurs. And the end result is a sling for 2 weeks. It could have been so much worse. And it was a good thing she had a helmut on. Our little girl is taking riding lessons and the horse she was trotting on stopped short and she went flying over the left should of the horse. Slight fracture in her upper humorous. Which is her shoulder. If it was more than a 20% fracture there would've been more drastic procedures happening but in her case it was just slight. So 1 week is done and next week we go back for xrays to see if it is healed up. This has not deterred her in any way. She still wants to own a horse one day and she still loves the big critters. I think this jsut proved this is not just a phase...sorry Daddy.
On a field trip to Batoche
Thought I had a picture of my craft room as it was but this it has already been deconstructed a bit.
Lots to look forward to this summer: our first summer road trip is gonna happen, kids in camp, kids in soccer camp, August long at the cottage, lots of fireside with friends and hopefully lots of swimming in our pool.
Happy Summer everyone!
