For those that know me this post is not surprising...in many ways.
1) I love food, sweets in particular
2) I love looking for new stuff that is unique
3) I love cupcakes...making and baking and eating
3) I love a good deal
So while I was in Texas wandering through the H*E*B grocery store, I was excited to find a few things that we can not find up here in Canada. I found a whole lot more cool things but alas with the restrictions and now costs for bringing even 1 bag on the plane, I was limited to this selection. I even took the cake mix box apart and to make more room.
So here is what I brought back...this time:
back row: ~Duncan Hines "Amazing Glazes"-just heat in mic and pour over cake
~Red Velvet cake mix
~Fish batter- we like making our own fish fingers and the batter we use can't be found anywhere so when I saw this it was really similar, so we will give it a try
~Vanilla-ok, not found in HEB but I got it in Mexico, if you go down there and want to buy some make sure you look for the Rooster and the coins on the bottle
Middle row:~cupcake papers, I found so many more but they were actually expensive.
Front Row:~Oreos with red icing in the middle with winter designs on them, I figure for teacher gifts and such
~caramel and vanilla flavoured marshmellows, now put these on your hot chocolate or make smore's with them
side note on the vanilla. I did bring it on the plane, I wrapped it in 2 large ziploc bags and then wrapped it in my jeans...and it made it in my checked luggage!
I went grocery shopping with my mom and she needed all the basics for baking and cooking. She had a cart full, we estimated at least $250-300 easy, her total was only $140! Groceries are less down there.
I twas great to see the different things down there.
