Mud...Snowbirds...Cake

So this is our first spring living in the house. So far it has gone pretty good. There is so much water around, we expected that. The kids are having fun making trenches to lead it all away and just generally playing in the mud, what kid doesn't? Now, today we are having a snow storm, I am not even going to dignify that with pictures. But that is spring for ya on the prairies!

Another sign of spring is that my parents, the snowbirds, are back from Texas...although they might want to turn around and go back.

The last sign of Spring is the Family Fun Night at our school. The kids are asked to decorate cakes and then they have a "Cake Walk" , which is a musical chairs type game to see who wins a cake. It is a fundraiser to raise money for our new playstructure.

They decorated them all by themselves! They both did such an awesome job!
