Okay I know everyone is sick of hearing about our town and the water issue. And for those living in town the solution is in sight. Living in the RM we have had our own issues. We had a proposed spot for our new house as to where we would have liked a well to be dug. We were told we shouldn't have a problem finding water, after all you just had to look at our yard any time this summer and thought the same thing. So they just go to put in the well only to find out there was almost no water. That was disappointing. So they told us we needed to try another spot as far away as possible from this hole. The spot they chose found water but not as high volume as we had hoped but no problem we just needed a large diameter well instead of the small one. The only problem is that we really had no way to pipe it to our house( that we could afford anyway).
That was all about 1 month ago. In that month we did some thinking as to how we would get the water to our house. I thought well, I could always do like the old days and carry the water . I would tell the kids," if you want hot water, here's the kettle." Trevor even looked up on line how to do water divining( water witching). Today the boys from the well digging company showed up and we asked them if they could just try one more test well in an area that was a lot closer to our house. Hallelujah! They found water. Mind you we still need a large diameter well but at this point, I DON'T CARE!!!
So now my kids don't have to grow up carrying their own water and telling their kids how they had to cary their own water for a bath up hill both ways in -45 freezing weather, or just across the yard. Anyways I am thankful for water.
