Yup...I'm Jealous

I think most ladies would agree that putting on a special dress and getting your hair done is fun to do every once in a while. Especially if you actually have a place to go. Since my husband is the only person in his department at work, you can assume that there is no Christmas "Thing" to go to, no Christmas party, gala, or even nice restaurant . So when a friend of mine got the opportunity to go to a "Vegas Night" with formal attire required for her Husband's work ,I was jealous. I admit it. But I thrust myself fully into the situation and lived vicariously through her for a night.

We went dress shopping together( I actually came out of the mall with out a single purchase... surprising...I know). I also wish we were the same shoe size!!! Picture a Black Stiletto with a small band of rhinestones on the heel. As for the dress.. A Royal Blue satin Sleeveless Dress, fitted and about knee length. Pair with the above mentioned shoes , a faux snakeskin clutch, and a satin wrap with fringes, add her own black drop Necklace and Earring's . Now you put a cute blonde in that outfit and you end up with one very stunning woman!!!

Yup, I'm Jealous!

By the way...Bryant ...you clean up pretty good yourself!!

I hear you... sounds like a lot of fun to get ready for, which can be worth the envy....

Now that I think about it, I did a similar thing for the same gal about 12 years ago... proposal night!!!

I also hear you on the 'not having a formal Christmas work party' thing... B2B isn't exactly that sort of workplace either.... ;)

Hey Melanie,

Thanks for what you said...I know that it'll all work itself out in the end. Like you said...it not in my timing that things will happen...but in His. I keep trying to remind myself of that, but somedays its harder than others.

Terrace isn't the most "dress up" kind of place...so there never seems to be a reason to get spiffied up...which is kind of unfortunate...never thought I'd say that...but somedays it would be nice to feel a little extraordinary!

BTW...awesome grad dress!!! ;)
