Our tree has been up for a while with just the lights on it. I was waiting for a time when all four of us were home at the same time to decorate the tree, wasn't happening. So it was just three of us. Nothing says Christmas like fluffing up your tree by bending the branches into place where you want them. Yes we have a fake tree, and every inch of me does not like it. I miss the fresh pine scent , and no a pine airfreshener hung on a fake one is just not the same! So you have needles to clean up after the season is over. The only trade off is that I get to have the tree up as long as I want. I have to tell myself that the kind of tree you have is not important, but that you have the Christmas spirit. The Christms season goes by so quickly and in less than a month it will all be over, so I am just basking in the lights of my beautiful tree, because to watch the eyes of a 3 and 4 year old be so excited that the tree is decorated, is worth it. And now that one of them can read his name, he got real excited when the gifts came out and put under the tree.
And just a side note, I have the best Mother-in -law in the world. Thanks for the Christmas Cheer!
